Contractual conditions for online ticket purchases and vouchers
1. Transaction
The
purchase contract between the client and Zurich Opera House (Opernhaus Zürich
AG) is concluded by clicking the “Conclude order” field after having selected
certain seats at a certain performance and entered the client’s and credit card
details in the appropriate fields.
Once purchased, tickets can neither be returned nor exchanged.
2. Payment
Payment is only possible with one of the following credit cards: MASTER-CARD/EUROCARD, VISA, AMEXCO, DINERS.
3. Booking fees
A
fee of CHF 5 is charged for all online bookings.
If the client selects the “Delivery (CHF 8)” option, the tickets will be sent
to the delivery address indicated by the client. A fee of CHF 8 per booking
will be charged for delivery.
Reductions
Reductions, particularly for students/pupils, senior citizens, persons drawing
disability pensions, members of the Zurich Theatre Association.
Vouchers cannot be claimed online.
4. Seat availability
Seats
available for online ticket sales are restricted to those indicated as
available on the internet.
Zurich Opera House reserves the right to alter the seating plan and to allocate
other (equivalent or better) seats to the client if the alteration means that
the seat booked is no longer available or enjoyment of the performance is
considerably impaired from the seat in question.
Detailed information on seats
Please note that all boxes are furnished with chairs in the first row and with
raised stools in the second to fourth rows. All other seats are upholstered
armchairs.
5. Programme changes
Zurich
Opera House reserves the right to cancel a performance or to replace it with
another work; to change the date or time of a performance; or to change the
cast, even after advance ticket sales have begun. The definitive starting times
are indicated in the daily press.
If a performance is cancelled or replaced by another work, or if the date of a
performance is changed and no other seat can be allocated to the client after
the number of seats has been reduced, the client is entitled to reimbursement
of the price, including booking fees. This entitlement is forfeited if it is
not claimed within ten days. This time limit begins on the day the performance
should have taken place according to the programme that was valid when the
tickets were bought.
In the event of changes to the cast or starting time of a performance, there is
no entitlement to a reimbursement of the purchase price.
6. Audiovisual recordings by Zurich Opera House
Zurich Opera House makes audiovisual recordings of certain performances. To that end, it reserves the right to alter the seating plan to allow for positioning the cameras. The client declares that he/she agrees that such recordings are broadcast on television, released on DVD or published elsewhere, even if the client is visible on such recordings.
7. Visual and sound recordings
Clients are forbidden to make any kind of visual or sound recordings in the Opera House.
8. Place of jurisdiction
This
ticket purchase contract is subject to Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is
the City of Zurich.
